I just went for bloodwork last week at 5 weeks and they want me back at 8 weeks for the first internal sono.

Mine was 12 weeks with the first sono. My 8 week appt was just questions and medical history.

I had one at six weeks for confirmation. I guess thats why I didn't get one at 8 weeks.

I thought the same thing. My doctor said that early on you could see more having it done internally. I never liked having that "wand" shoved up my whoha...but it's not all that bad. You'll be too distracted by looking at your baby on the screen!

its an ultrasound from the inside. The one on the outside cannot see the baby till about 10-12weeks.
This is what it looks like. they put a condom looking thing on the top with jelly on the inside and outside.

They are doing mine on the 28th of this month, which would make me about 7 weeks they say.
