First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
I had an LH surge this morning and I am scheduled for my first IUI tomorrow. I have no idea what to expect. Any advice?

Re: First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
I just had mine yesterday. They had us bring in DH's sample, then leave for about an hour. When we got back they called us in, gave us all the info, did the IUI on me and had us wait in the room for 10 minutes before we could leave. The IUI itself is not painful, but you can feel it. It's like a thin tube they insert into your uterus and you can actually feel when they get it. Good luck and lots of Baby Dust!!! Looks like we will be in the 2WW together!!!!

I had 3, you don't feel any pain. You can feel when they insert the tube but that is it. You stay an extra 10-15 minutes with your hips proped up. That's it!!
Good luck!!!!!!!!!

Re: First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
Thanks everyone! I am a little nervous about tomorrow, but it helps knowing what to expect. Some of these tests and procedures they put us through are just awful.

Re: First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
Ok, I had it done this morning and like you all said it was so easy. Thanks for the heads up. It felt just like a pap. I was shocked it was done so quickly. BUt Dh's guys aren't looking their best. She said that since there were only 1.1 million, (usually 5 million) we could come back and do it again tomorrow also. I'm not sure I want to waste 2 cycles on 1 month, besides...wouldnt his count be even less tomorrow?

Re: First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
You should call and find out if it would be counted as two cycles. If not, I would go again, it can't hurt...the more spermies the better your chances, right?

Re: First IUI tomorrow. Any advice?
It is not bad. I think the worst part is the cold clamps the use to open your cervix. Best of luck
