First night in big bed.....question
Tonight is the first night DD will be sleeping in a big bed. I just wanted to hear suggestions as to how you did this with your child. We have the bed rail set up, too!
My question is.....did you sleep with your chilld until they got used to it? Cuddled only till they fell asleep? Sat in a chair till they fell asleep?
Just curious at to what everyone did.

We sort of cheated and did it while we were on vacation Then, when we got home, he was already used to a big boy bed when his came a few weeks later.

We kept our routine the same as the crib....book, he goes down, gets some tickles and a song and out we go. It was so easy. Good luck!

Like a previous poster, we kept the routine exactly the same. We had absolutely NO problem with either DD. I was so much more stressed out than either of them were! I would NOT start any routines (laying with her, etc.) that I did not want to keep up for the rest of my life...
