First prenatal appt.
Just wondering, what is done at the first prenatal appt? Im scheduled for next month (I'll be 8 weeks then) I will just meet up with the nurse that day.

i remember trying to move heaven and earth to get my appt rescheduled for earlier than 8 weeks. i was like HELLO!!! i'm PREGNANT! you need to see me NOW!!! lol. as it turns out, 7-8 weeks is typically normal for a first prenatal visit, unless you see an RE.
from what i remember, they took blood, confirmed my pregnancy, then did a vaginal ultrasound to see baby's heart beat. DH will want to be there for that first dr's appt. seeing/hearing the HB was so amazing! enjoy!

First apt was a urine pregnancy test, Dr asked if I had any questions and I asked for a sono and they gave me one

Mine was over the course of two different appts but I had all the blood tests run (about 8 vials), a sonogram and just met and talked to the doctor (heartbeat, weight and bp.)

My first appointment I had a sono to check for a heartbeat. I was 5w2d and the heartbeat wasnt showing so i went back at 7w3d for another sono and there was a heartbeat!!
