First question as a new mom
My daughter was born May 23rd. I am slowly adjusting to being a mom.
She is finicky about how much she eats at a time. Sometimes 1, oz, sometimes 3oz. If she doesn't finish a bottle, can I reuse it if it is out less than an hour? The ped at the hospital said no, but my ped said yes, as long it went into the fridge before the hour was up.
I was just curious what real moms did. I don't want to waste any, especially if it is breast milk.
TIA!

Re: First question as a new mom
I leave bottles out for a little over an hour (sometimes even up to 2 hours ) before I toss them.

First Congrats!!!!!!!!
I leave DSs bottles out for up to 90 minutes before tossing. But I never put them back in the fridge, once I warm them up, they either get used or tossed.

Re: First question as a new mom
My son likes to take breaks when having his bottle. As long as it's within an hour or so I give him the same bottle. Very rare does he drink all his formula straight down, he usually takes a break.

We BF so I have no bottle advice, but I just wanted to say congrats on the new baby and welcome to the parenting board!
My DS is almost 11 weeks and I've gotten so much support and great advice here!

Re: First question as a new mom
Congrats! DD celebrated her 2nd b-day on the 23rd.... great day to be born!
When DD drinks from the bottle, her saliva gets in the bottle. That's why there is a time limit on using it. Once she starts drinking, you really can't save the rest for later, unless it's just to take a break, and finish it very soon.
