first RE appointment question
at the first RE appointment (gyno) am i going to get looked at or is (like an exam) or is it just a meeting. just wanting to make sure i am 'prepared' if you know what i mean.
once you meet with the RE how long does the process actually take? do i get my regular gyno to fax over my file or does it not matter if its male factor infertility.

Re: first RE appointment question
They will likely do an exam and interview.
AS for your medical records, start making a copy of all your records. I always asked for a copy. It is very empowering having your own records. I did a lot of research based on my medical records and found that my obgyn missed that I had PCOS. I brought it up to a RE who later confirmed it.
Ask your obgyn for a copy and try to get a copy way before your RE appointment. I never had to pay for any of my copies but be prepared b/c a lot of doctors now charge.
Good Luck!

Re: first RE appointment question
I agree that they will probably talk to you first and then do an exam. I would have your records sent to them as soon as you can. As for how long the process takes, I think it really depends on what your issues are and where you are in your cycle. When I went for my first appointment, I was in the second half of my cycle so I am starting treatment as well as having additional tests done this cycle.
