First Sonogram Today!!
I was soooo happy to see my little nugget...and it's definitely LITTLE! hehe. I am only 6w3d according to the sonogram. I got to see the little heartbeat..124bpm! It brought tears to my eyes!
I have a few questions though, maybe you girls can help me out...
The sonogram tech gave me a due date of Sept 1st. And if I were to be 6w3d, it would mean I got pregnant on Nov 25th, is this possible beings I started my last pd on Nov 23rd? I'm convince that he has to be wrong, since it just doesn't seem to match up with my ovulating. In less there's something i'm missing? I see my Dr on the the 21st, so I'll be sure to ask him, but it's really confusing me

Congrats! It's so hard to try to figure out the day you conceived on your own. When I went I thought I was about 6 weeks and was only 4. It really depends on your cycle lengths, LMP, OV day....the sonotech will tell you exactly where you are.

Since they count from your last period (when you clearly weren't pregnant yet), you are 6w3d pregnant, but your little bean is (usually) two weeks younger since he/she was conceived halfway through your cycle.

they count from the first day of your last period
if you KNOW when you ovulated, your due date will change and you should tell the dr. that you know when you ovulated
otherwise the size and dates may not match. they count the 2 weeks before you ovulate as 2 weeks pregnant

Im bad and never kept track so my dating didnt help. they gave me a due date on my measurements.

Yay, first sonogram is so excting  
Like pp said it's hard to figure out exactly when you did conceive but I would just go by what they measured by u/s today.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!
The start the count from the first day of your last period so your baby is actually 2 weeks younger then your total.

No: the timing works out perfectly... use a "due date calculator":
If your last period was Nov 23 and you had an exactly 2 week 1st stage of your cycle, you would be due August 30th.
It sounds like you ovulated CD12 (not CD14), which is totally normal.
As PPs said, you get a "bonus" 2 weeks of being preggo.
I know EXACTLY when I ovulated & the 1st sono had exactly the right date (to the day) for me.
Congrats!!!! (PS: I'm due August 29th... we're almost date twins)

Thanks everyone!
All the online calculators I used were giving me either August 27th or August 30th, just by going with the first day of my last cycle...my cycle was always between 23-26 days and I never knew when I actually ovulated. I used the online calculators for ovulation also but I never knew what to really put since my pd's were always so messed up, so I never really knew when I was ovulating.
I just found it weird that since I know AF was here on the 25th of November, I wasn't sure if I could have concieved WHILE AF was visiting? KWIM?
