First time he cried for me at daycare!!!
This morning, I dropped Cailen off as I always do, put his bottles in the fridge, hung up his stuff, chatted with the teachers a bit, played with Cailen for a minute (pulled a toy back from a child who always grabs things from Cailen  ) and gave him a kiss on the top of his head as I usually do (because he is always busy playing - he never even looks for me!)
As I was leaving and waving at him through the window, he began to cry!  After 7 mts of daycare, I never thought I'd see that day!
I came back, and picked him up, gave him a kiss and a HUGE hug. It seemed to make him feel better, because I put him back down, and he went back to playing and didn't cry for me again! 
Just wanted to share. I always thought it would be good starting him so young because then he wouldn't be upset about me leaving, but I guess I was wrong....

It gets a little tough for the next few months. My DD loves her day care providers and never cried when I dropped her off. Then suddenly one day that changed. She ALWAYS cries when I drop her off now and the woman has to wisk her off to look at her doggie in the backyard to distract her. Then she goes on to have a great day and forgets thankfully.
I HATE dropping her off. I love when DH is home and is the bad guy

It wasn't as devastating as I thought it would be  I was actually more surpirsed than anything else... I know he has a ball there and forgets about me about 11 seconds after I walk out the door!

Alex has been in daycare since she was 10 weeks old, and up until about 2 weeks ago, she cried EVERYDAY when DH or I dropped her off  So, I don't know about your theory there...
But anyway, that's sweet and adorable, and should make you feel SOOO loved by that chubalicious cherub!

You have no idea - I don't stop thinking about him allll day! Is that normal, or am I obsessed?

Awwww! It tears at your heart when you hear them cry for you! My DD does this most mornings, although it comes and goes in stages and once in a while she can be distracted with snacks. I just remind myself that she calms down after a few minutes and then she's fine the rest of the day.

Normal, otherwise im abnormal too.. I have pictures and videos on my phone and all day i watch them .. I only work 3 days a week and im like this.. Imagine i worked f/t..

ALL mommies are obsessed - it's our genetic makeup  If it makes you feel better, I've been chuckling all day over something DH told me this morning. He went in to get Alex (who HATES getting a poopy diaper change and fights it all the way), and she immediatley said, "daddy I have BIG poopy" as she walked over to the changing table, grabbed a diaper and handed it to him.
He told me he's never seen anything so horrifying come out of her. It serves him right for serving one of his spiciest dishes yet last night!

Its gotta be normal....He's a cutie, how could not think of him 24/7!
I am already dreading the days of dropping  off at day care and seeing tears. Who's will be bigger theirs or mine ?
