First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit Ammendments
I just wanted to be sure that you have all heard that the First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit has been extended and ammended. The extension now goes until April 30th for contract and June 30th for closing. They have also ammended the salary limits to much higher so more people will now qualify.
One of the highlights of the new ammended tax credit is now there is a credit for existing homeowners who have lived in their primary residence for at least 5 consecutive years out of 8, and are moving into another primary residence, are eligible for $6,500. This helps all of you homeowners who might have bought a small home to start off with and are now looking to get into a bigger home. With the low interest rates and now this tax incentive, you could move into a much bigger house and not have much difference in your mortgage payment! If you have any questions about the credit, let me know and I would be happy to send you additional information.
