first time mtb in 2nd trimester

hi guys, I'm a little nervous. everyone I have spoken to and all the web pages tell me that my belly button should have popped by now, and I should be feeling the baby move regularly. Have not felt a thing yet... anyone share any insights???

How many weeks are you?

I really started feeling the baby at 20 wks.

Don't worry. I started feeling the baby at about 19 weeks and I'm 33 now and my belly button still has not popped and doesn't look like it will so far.

I am 25 weeks, (due June 8th) and I did not feel the baby moving on a regular basis until recently. At first it felt like gas...almost like an eye twitch feeling or like popcorn popping. As for the belly button, mine has not yet popped either. The one thing I learned quickly about the websites is that they give very general answers to things that happen differently for all of us. If you are ever felling doubt call your doctor...it is what they are there for.

I don't think everyone's belly button pops. And as for movement, I think you have time until you *should* feel it regularly.

I am 22 weeks and my belly button isn't anywhere near popping and I feel my baby move regularly, but it's still really only flutters.

thanks that makes me feel better. i am 37 former smoker and we are scared all the time, this is our first, and we're always worried

thanks you are right, actually I called them yesterday, and they are bringing me in this morning, just to let me hear the heartbeat and know all is fine.

At 20 weeks I was only feeling flutters so definitely not to worry. Before you know it the baby will be doing cartwheels in there.

My belly button has not popped and I don't think it will. It was so deep and tightly closed before pregnancy - now it is just a little wide open and I can see in side to the end. lol

Dont worry some first time mtb dont feel the baby move until 22 weeks. Give it some time. U might be feeling something but not know what it is. I felt flutters at 16 weeks and real movement like little kicks at 19 weeks.

I didn't really start to feel him moving around until almost 25 weeks. And I will be 30 weeks tomorrow and my belly button is NO where near popping!

my belly button never popped and I started feeling the baby a lot around 22-25 weeks.

do you feel gas? sometimes first time moms think the movement is just that.

drink something sweet - that tends to get them up and moving
