First time taking DS to Disney....question

Taking DS to Disney in May, he will be turning 2. I just started allowing him to watch a little tv (30 min every few days), should I start having him watch clips of Disney movies or some Disney shows? Does Disney have a channel for little ones? I have no idea about these things, lol. He has no clue who anyone Disney is.

Re: First time taking DS to Disney....question

I let DS watch a little nit of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse about a month before we left.. He was a little leery the first day we were there, but by the 2nd day he was fine with the characters and on the last day, he was running to them!!!

Re: First time taking DS to Disney....question

I was thinking of doing the same thing. N. Is just starting to be a little interested in TV. He knows who Mickey and Minnie mouse are from Books and stickers. Mickey mouse clubhouse on Disney Jr is cute and has all the main characters. Also Lion King is going to be on Disney tomorrow at 6 i think. , i am going to DVR it. There was a great lion king show at animal kingdom last time i was there, not sure if it still is. I also took out the lion king music CD from the library. I need to book my trip already!!

I like some of the shows on Disney Jr (in March they will take over soapnet -you can check and see if you will get the new channel)- they have everything from Mickey mouse clubhouse, agent oso, Little Einsteins, to Jake and the Neverland pirates. They also often show disney movies (monsters inc is on now). I have also seen movies like: - dumbo, toy story, finding nemo, mary poppins, aladdin, lion king etc. (also check out the family channel - they have a lot of pixar and other disney movies like snow white etc).

I like to DVR the I think they are called "have a laugh" that are on sometimes between shows check your listings. They are 3-5 mins disney clips - mickey, minnie, donald, pluto, chip and dale -the real old cartoon clips. Really cute - very old school disney - think 1940's mickey cartoons.

You could try some of the disney jr shows- then some of the more popular disney movies - like finding nemo, lion king, toy story so that your DC will get to know some of the characters that they will see in the parks. If he is into cars - you could try the Cars movies with him.

My DD#2 is 2.5 - she doesn't really watch TV but when she does she likes Little Einsteins (disney jr show), mickey mouse clubhouse, and her favorite movie is Monsters Inc (she loves boo) and finding nemo (but rarely watches that one).

Etd to add another cute set of movies - are the winnie the pooh ones. Like the many adventures of winnie the pooh - there was a recent pooh movie that came out last summer - I think you can still rent it at redbox.
