first time using OPK's....

OK so I am officially CD11 and will be using my first OPK today. (Why am I so nervous about it???)

I am using CBE Digitials and my plan is after lunch to do a hold and test when I get home...is that the right way to do it??

the best way is:

test between 2:00 and 8:00 PM.

Some people say you don't have to do the 4 hour hold - but i always have tried to do at least a 3 hour hold.

TRY not to drink too much water or any beverage during the hold - as it will dilute the hornone you are testing for.

Don't be nervous - it's nice to see a line once a month - even if it's just an OPK!!!

Don't be nervous! It's simple.

I suggest for your first time using the digitals that you pee in a cup and dip it.

The only reason is because if you end up wetting it too much or have an error symbol, you will have lost your chance for that day.

With the CBE digitals, you need to insert the stick into the reader FIRST, then pee on it. The other day I forgot and peed on the stick, THEN inserted it - and it wouldn't read it.

aww, you'll get the hang of it

what worked best for me was to do it as soon as i got home from work around 6-6:30. also, i made sure to read the instructions BEFORE i had to pee b/c trying to hold it in and read the instructions can be difficult. or you could just pee into a cup and then read through the instructions. it's very easy though.

Thank you all! I think I am nervous bc I feel that something is wrong and I will never get that smiley face but I guess I will find that out as the days goes on. I am totally peeing in a cup first! I don't think I could actually POAS, I am all for dipping in the cup!
