Fisher Price - Learning Home or Learning Kitchen?? Help me choose.

I want to get DD one of these for her 1st birthday. I know a lot of you recommended the Learning Home when I was going to get one off craigslist (which didn't work out) but the kitchen looks SO cute too! Anyone have the kitchen?

Buy Buy Baby doesn't sell the Learning Home and I have money on a gift card left over from a while ago that I wanted to use. They do have the kitchen though...

DD has the learning home and love it. I think she would love the kitchen too so you are probably safe with either one!

I do not have input because I've never seen them, but LOVE the kitchen! It can prepare her for a bigger toddler sized kitchen when she's a little older! You may have a future chef on your hands then...lol

I had the same dilemma when we got the home for Mia. The reason I opted against the kitchen was because it was RECALLED due to inaccurate age info. Due to small parts being a choking hazard it is states that it is not recommended for children under 3. It isn't available on TRU anymore- wondering if it was completely discontinued because of this- they replaced it with a small learning kitchen toy:

I did the same thing too... Chloe is 17 months now and still loves the home. we just got a kitchen and she plays with some stuff, but she I have a feeling that once she is over the home the kitchen will take over.

Great thought!! I think that's what I'll do.

And thanks Brianne... I didn't know that kitchen was recalled, but it's still for sale on the buy buy baby site. Chat Icon That other small kitchen you posted the link for looks really cute too. Maybe I'll get that for MIL's house.

I have both and the home got more use by far. I would get the home now and a kitchen when your DC is a bit older. DD is now two and adores her Step 2 play kitchen. She still plays with her learning home too.

They recalled it and readjusted the age so they continued to sell it. When i found it on TRU website it had a warning for choking hazard, but now it is no longer on TRU or Fisher Price websites . . .

I have the learning kitchen and my mom has the learning house. I definitely think the learning house has more things to do. I would get the learning house, and then when your DD gets older I would buy more of a realistic kitchen.

Re: Fisher Price - Learning Home or Learning Kitchen?? Help me choose.

We had the home and it kept DS entertained for MONTHS! And when his older cousin woudl come over they would both play with it (at the time he was 1 and she was 2.5)

The kitchen is cute, but IMO not as entertaining for as long! A friend has the kitchen and the house (we put our house away now) and when we go over, DS will spend about 5 minutes with the kitchen but will play with the other little boy and the house for much longer!
