Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Umbrella Stroller
is on sale this week at BRU for $39.99. I am tihnking of picking one up. Anyone have it? Thoughts? Do you think it will be okay to take abroad this summer--- i don't want to lug her big Chicco Cortina or buy an expensive umbrella stroller. (This is a trip to see family, so it's not like she'll be sitting in a stroller all day-- mainly just in the airport and quick walks around town) plus for times at home when I need something light and quick.
Also, will they take their own 20% off coupon in addition to their sale?

Re: Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Umbrella Stroller
I just saw this in the Toys R Us email and was considering it myself. DS will be out of the carseat/snap n go soon enough and our peg perego fills a lot of the trunk. According to the reviews on TRU website, it is very compact, light weight and reclines fully. I like this to bring on our boat this summer too.
I think it may help stretch the life of our peg perego.
I've used the coupons on sale items as well.

Re: Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Umbrella Stroller
Just wanted to chime in again...
I looked at it today at BRU and was not entirely thrilled with it. Not for what I was wanting it for anyway.
The recline does not really recline far back. And it is very low and small. Almost felt like a toy stroller. Seems like it would make a good Grandma or babysitter stroller.
It was marked "new" so I'm not sure how many people will have it.
There was a baby trend one right next to it that I did not look at in detail but it seemed to have more features with a snack tray for $49.99.
ETA: Just looked on BRU site... yeah, for your needs, traveling, I'd still think the FP one is too small. For $10 more, I'd get one that has an under storage basket, snack tray and maybe even a cup holder for you (even if not for drinks, just to chuck hotel key, toy, etc.)
Here is the baby trend one... It's actually TrendSport...
Which is what I think I'm going to get for my needs. While it does not fold in fourths like an umbrella, it looks to be my baby trend snap n go but as a stroller. And I am very pleased with the mechanics and features of the snap n go. I'm going to be sad when Nolan is out of his infant car seat/snap n go. The under basket is a good size (I get my VB diaper bag stuffed to the gills in and out no problem), I love the two cup holders at the handle bar for keys, and whatnot plus a little snap lid compartment for sunglasses or a small wallet. It folds flat and compact (just not in fourths, skinny, like an umbrella). We gate checked it on our trip to FL and it was great for travel. Would fit in a small trunk or even behind the driver side seat.
Here's a review from the site that I think may answer your questions...
My daughter and I bought two of these strollers, for her twin 9 month old daughters, to take to Washington, D.C. for the Taxpayers' March on Washington. We knew we would have to manage these, not only in a huge crowd, but on and off of airplanes and taxis, in tight elevators and on the Metro. They work like a charm! We practiced folding them and found the best way to tuck the wheels so they would lay even flatter. These strollers really got a workout!! Not only did they do the March, they were used to walk all over Washington and across the Potomac to Arlington and back...and they have been used for several other Marches since then and countless shopping sprees. The storage compartment below is very adequate and the tray that is removable or opens left or right is such a bonus! The canopy is adequate, and the steering is really good for a stroller of this price range. It isn't going to maneuver like an expensive stroller, but it is amazingly easy to handle and I've done it with one hand. The girls, now 13 months old, like it, although we do wish it had a 5 point seat belt system, instead of three. You must remember to put the seat in full recline when folding, but you get used to that. One of our strollers has a stiffer folding mechanism, but that is my only negative...and it's only on the one, not both. For the price, you would be hard-pressed to find better with the large storage basket, tray and even cup holder and key compartment for Mom. If the wheels ever wear out on these, we are going to buy two more!
HTH!

Re: Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Umbrella Stroller
Thanks so much Denise! I actually went with the Combi. it was twice the price, but so much better (had a better basket, a guard rail and the seat, while not as wide, seemed much more cushy. the combi was orginially $100.00 and then they had it down to $79.99 and then i used a 20% off coupon.
