Fitness and weight loss Ques
Like a lot of people, I put on a couple pounds post wedding (10/30/10) and holidays.
I very recently started working out again thanks to DH and some friends.
Here's the thing: On days that I work out (usually at night), I'll eat quite a bit, like a decent sized lunch, snacks and then I'll have a tuna sandwich after the gym and maybe some cheese and then a cookie or 2.
Usually when I eat late at night, I know the scale won't be nice to me the next morning, but mornings after I work out, I don't see a weight gain.
Is this normal? Will I see a weight loss eventually? Will I see a weight GAIN eventually?
It's only been about a week that this has been happening, so I have NO idea what's in store for me.
TIA!

Re: Fitness and weight loss Ques
Its normal to see weight fluctuations based on what you eat the day/night before. That's why its reccomended you weigh yourself once a week (same day/same time).
Also, its very common for people to underestimate their calories in vs. calories out. So be careful with that in terms of working out. I try to eat the same amount of foods on days I work out as when I do (unless I'm running more than 10 miles). There's no need to much extra on days you work out. Its reccomended you have an extra 100-200 calories for your workout if you still want to see results (once again, this isn't for something extreme like a triatholan or double digit run).

I'd say its normal. (Ive seen this with myself) And eventually you will begin seeing the weight drop.
