Fixed cat acting like she's in heat
I think my cat is having an identity crisis or something. She is fixed, but showing the symptoms of heat. Always wanting to be pet, scratching up against anything, and those NOISES! Has this ever happened to anyone else????

i have read sometimes they can miss some of the tissue and the hormones are still there.
Also, just in case... did you just get her? Are you 100% sure she is spayed? I adopted a a neutered male cat last year that turned out to be an unspayed female cat. I was pretty shocked. I called the person I adopted her from and she sent me to her vet to get her spayed.

I have had her for over 4 years, and got her spayed at my own vet, so I think I am as sure as I can be lol!. Thats insane about the cat you adopted.
She stopped, so I am just going to watch her behavior closely. The vet is so traumatic for her, she always has to be sedated, and was just there, so I want to avoid it at all costs if I can.

LOL yeah, you are probably safe to assume she is spayed. I don't blame you for trying to avoid the vet. Maybe it's hormonal or maybe there was a new cat outside that she is reacting to?
