Flattering Comments

It seems that people are so quick to tell us how big and huge we are or are getting, but very few people think to tell us how great we look.

So, I thought that we could start a thread for those rare comments that put a smile on our face.

Today my sister's boss (she works right across the street from where we live) came out of the office and was asking me how I feel and all that good stuff. We are friendly, he came to my wedding, etc...

After some small talk he goes "So where is the baby? He must really be hiding because your belly looks so tiney. You look great and I can't believe you're 6 months already you definately don't look it at all! It just looks like you had a few too many beers."

Needless to say, I was hugging him and smiling on my whole way to work This is coming from a man with 5 kids, so he know how a preggos look

And, for the record I don't think I'm THAT big. A girl who is also 24 weeks moved in two doors away and she looks soooo much bigger than I!

I get the "you are glowing" and "your skin looks beautiful" comments a lot .. which is nice to hear of course , even if I don't really see it Also that my hair looks really healthy and shiny.. :)

I also hear "you are carrying very well for such and such amount of months" or "you are carrying nice and high" (whatever that means ).

One of the Mom's at my day care just dropped off her kids and I usually don't see her and she was like "YOU LOOK GREAT "

Even though the mean comments stick with you more, I have gotten plenty of compliments along the way. People are always telling me how well I'm carrying. And DH, who usually sux at giving compliments, is always telling me how beautiful I look.

the nurse and nurse practitioner told me how great I look for 32 weeks.....that when I came in they thought "there's no way shes the new 32 week pregger!" made my day!!

I also get a lot of "wow, you don't look like you are carrying twins"....but for some reason, I usually remember more of the times when people say...Wow, you have to go to the end of Oct? You are going to be so uncomfortable, since you are already so big!

You look great and all that nonsense.. but I do have a aunt who kinda throws out the back-handed compliments.. she told me "oh your face looks so pretty..so different" UH WAS I A HORROR SHOW TO BEGIN WITH??
