Re: Flax Seed Oil
ive heard of using evening primrose oil.. not flax seed...hmm ill google it
heres from the NIH
flax seed oil
What It Is Used For
* Flaxseed is most commonly used as a laxative. * Flaxseed is also used for hot flashes and breast pain. * Flaxseed oil is used for different conditions than flaxseed, including arthritis. * Both flaxseed and flaxseed oil have been used for high cholesterol levels and in an effort to prevent cancer.
evening primrose
What It Is Used For
* Evening primrose oil has been used since the 1930s for eczema (a condition in which the skin becomes inflamed, itchy, or scaly because of allergies or other irritation). * More recently it has been used for other conditions involving inflammation, such as rheumatoid arthritis. * Evening primrose oil is used for conditions affecting women's health, such as breast pain associated with the menstrual cycle, menopausal symptoms, and premenstrual syndrome (PMS). * It is used during pregnancy in attempts to shorten the duration of labor. * Other conditions for which evening primrose oil is used include cancer and diabetes.

Re: Flax Seed Oil
I've actually heard the opposite... that you should avoid flax seed oil, and instead take a DHA supplement if you are TTC or could be pregnant.... it has been reported to alter estrogen levels
While TTC'ing, I started taking a DHA supplement (expecta).... it's not only safe for pregnancy, but also is good for the developing nervous system, if you do get your BFP.
hope this helps

Re: Flax Seed Oil
Flax Seed Oil is basically the vegetarian version of Omega 3 Fatty Acids. I bought a bottle of supplements to take, as I am a vegetarian, and I found it to upset my stomach. I was worried because my stomach is sensitive to ground flax seed, etc., and was not surprised to find that the supplements did the same thing to me.
