Floaters in the eye??
Has this happened to anyone?
Yesterday when I went outside, I kept seeing a little black spot out of my right eye. I thought something was stuck on my eyelash or something. I rubbed my eye and it didnt go away. Every time I turned, the spot would move. When I went back inside, it went away. But every time I went out, it happened again.
Today its happening again. Only in my right eye and only when I go outside. Its making me really nervous. Does anyone know what this can be??

Re: Floaters in the eye??
It does sound like it may be floaters. It is a little scary at first; but they are generally nothing to be too concerned about. I recommend seeing an eye doctor. Mine are also prevalent in sunlight. My doctor said they are mostly due to eye injury or come with old age (neither factors that apply to me).
Good luck and don't alarm yourself too much (easier said then done, I know)
Let us know how it turns out!!!

Re: Floaters in the eye??
I have one...had it since Summer of '01...freaked out and went to an opthamologist because one of my producers had me thinking I was going blind. They dilated my eyes (which is more than freaky) and checked me out all around.
Turns out they just happen and there is nothing that you can really do about it. When I go outside on a really sunny day it's the mose noticeable (like against a blue sky)...
mine is totally harmless, might want to get it checked, but they told me unless the increase in amount or start moving around when my eye is still...totally fine.

I get them all the time. It's very annoying but nothing to worry about as long as that is what it is. If it continues to bother you just get it checked out to make sure that is all it is

Re: Floaters in the eye??
I'm not sure if thats floaters?
I get floaters but they are more like hundreds of black dots floating around in little circular patterns in my peripheral vision...and I only get them when I strain my eyes...like if I'm straining to look to one side too long and then I look foward. I also see them when I look at bright light...like if I look into the sky....but only see them in my peripheral vision.

That's funny that you mentioned that. A lady at work has been complaining about a floater in her eye for a few daws now!

I have them in both eyes. I have had them for years. I am used to them now.
