flower girl dresses
A few questions:
Can anyone recommend a site/store to get inexpensive flower girl dresses? Looking for a place that will take returns as the bride is a bit picky
What is the most you would spend on a dress for a 6yo? I have three dresses at home (from friends and one is ours), that I showed the bride and she didn't like any of them. As of now, it is looking like what she wants will cost me about $120, and in my opinion that is just too much so I am hoping to send her some other alternatives.

flower girl dresses
My sister bought a simple but gorgeous communion dress at Burlington Coat Factory for my niece to be flower girl at my wedding. Her MIL made a sash for the dress from material cut from my sister's MOH dress, and the florist made a wreath of flowers and ribbons to match our bouquets.

Re: flower girl dresses
My DD has been flower girl in two weddings- the first the bride picked out an expensive dress that cost me $200, the second the bride had me order off etsy which cost me $75. Def look on etsy if the bride doesn't mind. I just sent the etsy shop my DD's measurements with room for growth.

Pink Princess. com I got DD's communion dress there. It was beautiful and inexpensive and free and easy returns. They have a ton of flower girl dresses there and they are gorgeous and most under $75
Also try Etsy- I got DD a dress for a photo shoot that was techincally a "flower girl" dress- from there

Re: flower girl dresses
Thanks for the ideas...I never would have considered Etsy for clothing. Am going to check them all out now
If the bride asks for a $200 dress...I am going to have to respectfully decline the invite to participate in the wedding

We did the exact same thing. Spent about $30.

Re: flower girl dresses
i think anything more than $100 is too much!! my DD was in a wedding and she picked out was a $165 dress (maybe more) our bridesmaid dresses were double than that and i was not happy so i said something. she ended up contributing to the bridesmaid dresses (we also had to pay for a lot more stuff so this was just icing on the cake) since she did that I did suck it up and paid for all of it but i was not happy considering she wore it for one day!!
like PP suggested i ordered my DD communion dress from pinkprincess.com. cost me like $65 and I loved the dress!!

Re: flower girl dresses
The first dress my SIL chose for DD was $600. I told her she could pay for it. Then she changed her tune and the dress was about $130.

$600?? I'd be like sorry but NOPE!!!!!!!!!! Or I'd say, ok but then I have to deduct that from your gift.

Re: flower girl dresses
We have used Etsy (although you will not be able to return), and Amazon. The dress we got from Amazon was very recent, and it was adorable.

Violet's Blue is super expensive. I walked in there once and walked right out when a simple cotton onesie for a baby was $50

Re: flower girl dresses
Burlington has gorgeous dresses and so does Century 21.
There's also a place in Queens- Sir Lance's Lot. I got my DD's christening dresses there... $50 each! And they were so beautiful and such nice quality.

I got my daughter's years ago from Estelle's in Farmingdale. I don't remember the exact cost but I'm pretty sure it was around $50ish.
