Re: Flu shot
Yes, even the CDC recommends that pregnant women get the flu shot. I got mine a few weeks ago, no big deal

Re: Flu shot
My doctor didn't mention it---I know its advised but I will not get one. I have reasons why I am against it.

No. I am still in 1st trimester so I can't.
I am also in my first trimester and all she said was to get one asap. I'm confused.... I'll ask the doc today just to make sure.

Re: Flu shot
I got one. I usually get pretty sick at least one time in the winter and have had the flu in the past so I didn't want to take any chances.

Re: Flu shot
I was told to, but I've had bad reactions to them in the past, so it's not worth the risk of that for me.
I'm just being EXTRA careful with myself this flu season.

Re: Flu shot
I have never had the shot before but at my last visit I asked my doctor about it (she never gets one either) and ultimately decided to go ahead and do it. I work in the city and take the LIRR and subway everyday so I figured why not just do it.

My doctor practically forced me to get one- and I was 10 weeks pg when I did. Perfectly safe in any trimaester.....
I should also add that I work in a hospital part time and am also a flight attendant- I am exposed to more germs than the average person.

Re: Flu shot
I have never had the shot. I don't feel that I am at high risk. I don't feel that the shot is a guarantee since they just guess which strain will be out there that year.

Re: Flu shot
My ob was pretty laid back about it "get one if you want - you dont have to." I rarely get sick and the one time I got a flu shot I got the worst flu. So I'm not getting one.
