Flu shot WITH 6 month shots?
DS is going to be 6 months next week and we'll be going to the pedi for his third round of shots. I know they're going to recommend a flu shot as well but should I put it off and do it maybe the following week?
He has gotten 3 shots every time we go so far and I've always felt that's alot. I just think that the flu shot on TOP the other other 3 is just too much for him in one day. Plus, he's always had reactions. Fever every time. I only would postpone the flu shot maybe a week or so but am I silly for doing this? Should I just get it over? I just feel horrible for my little ds!

my ped will only do 3 shots.. so we usually put one off till either the next visit or i make another vist to get the extar shot.

We just took Landon on Thurs for his "6 month" check-up - he is actually 5.5 months. He got the 2 regularly scheduled shots. Dr. did not mention the flu shot at all.

Todd Jr is 6 1/2 months and got his Flu shot and one other shot last week, I only allow him to get 2 shots per visit.

My doc did not recommend flu shots that young.

At DS's 6 month checkup, he got 3 shots...one of which was the flu shot. He had no problems. Good luck!

Kayla just got the flu shot at 6 months and she had one other shot. My DR. does 2 shots at a time. Maybe you can spread it out a bit.

My ped actually suggested that if we want to do the flu shot we make a seperate appointment. They do not like doing it with the other standard six month shots.
