Flu shot...I know we've all discussed it but...
I was going to get the regular flu shot tomorrow, but I don't know. Grr. I only got it once, last year, b/c we were going to Asia for our honeymoon and the dr. said their flu season is different and strongly suggested it. I just don't know if I should get it this year. I know they suggest pg women get it and (God willing!) we may all be pg during flu season,...so...I guess I'm asking if you are getting the regualr flu shot this season?

I honestly don't know what I'm going to do. I've never had the flu shot before so if I'm not preggo that won't change. If I do become pg, I might consider it but not sure how I will react to it since it will be my first flu shot.

I got it a couple of weeks ago.... last year I got the flu and it was terrible!!! I was out of work for a couple of days... I cant go down that road again.... I will not get the swine flu shot though

I actually had my annual physical yesterday. I was due for a tetanus booster and the flu shot, but because I told her we were actively trying and couldn't say for sure that I am NOT pregnant (well, pretty sure I will O in a couple of days, but you never know...) we held off. She said she doesn't give the flu shot until the 2nd trimester and since I've never had the flu shot in my life I was fine with that. Also, I didn't even ask about H1N1...I'll cross that bridge with my OB if and when I come to it.

If you doctor doesn't have the mercury free ones go to Walgreens they have it. That's where I got mine. My doctor only had the regular one and I found Walgreens. It was great and easy and it was $29.99 for the Mercury free one!

Last year I had a DPT booster plus my first flu shot at the same time. I was VERY sick the next day. Fainted in the morning and vomiting. It was awful. Just an FYI...But you didn't get it at the same time so that's good!!

Awesome! Thank You. Should I wait until after my first appt? Or go now? My first appt in Nov 5th. I am not sure what to do?
