Fluid intake question..
Ok, so Jacob will be one in 2 weeks ( ) and he has been on milk since 9 months. For the past few weeks or so this child does not really have any interest in his bottle. He has one bottle in the morn (8 oz milk) and then like 4 more oz for his morning nap. After that, he doesnt want any fluids the rest of the day until his bedtime bottle. I find this crazy. I try the sippy cup with juice, doesnt like it, throws it on the floor and turns his head, i try water in the sippy cub same thing. I try to give him a bottle in the afternoon with milk or juice or water, same reaction.. wants nothing to do with it, or the sippy cup, at all... EVER! So basically this kid goes from like 10 am till 8 pm with no liquids.
How can I force him to drink? He does have wet diapers though which i find .... I am seeing the ped next week for his one year check up so i will def mention it, but anyone else find this with their DC?
This kid is gonna need an IV if he keeps this up....

Re: Fluid intake question..
with all his bottles he gets about 20 oz of milk? that is perfect (too much milk is not good).
as for other fluids, I would just keep offering. Does he not like the sippy cup? what about putting water (or mixed with juice) in his bottle?
