we have my BIL's wedding in Michigan in a few weeks. We are flying there.
Carter will be 6 weeks old.  But I'd rather fly for a little over an hour than put him in a car seat for 12+ hours! Doctor said it would be fine...

I took my son on a plane when he was 3 weeks old. He got horribly sick after though and ran a fever. Probably from the icky germs.
I'm taking DD on her first plane ride when she's almost three months.

We took our DD to NY to see family at 2 months old- two days after her shots. She did great- slept both ways.
The stewardess on our first flight was awesome- she brought me food from first class since I was nursing and announced Grace's name at the end of the flight as a first time flyer and everyone appaulded. Then she presented us with a bottle of champagne.
Great first time experience

I have somewhere to go when DC#2 will be about 2 months old, I am not worried about her doing well just wondering if the doc would say yes/no for germs, etc...

I took Noah to the states when he was 4 months old. its much easier when they are smaller, its when they are mobile that its more difficult!!

I would have flown after 8 weeks at any time - we flew at 5 1/2 months.

I just flew with ds for the first time at 8 months...I would have earlier though. I think when they are little it is the easiest time to fly with them.
Very easy to keep them entertained!

I totally agree, I am more concerned with my 2 month old picking up some sort of illness on the plane...
