Flying with kids when they have a cold
So Mallory has a slight stuffy nose and Addison seems to have a little bit of a runny nose (not sure if a cold or teething)... We are supposed to be flying to Florida on Saturday.. Should I give them a decongestant before we fly ? I'm just afraid that the pressure on their stuffed up sinuses may hurt them. I've been running the humidifiers like crazy trying to get rid of this but they are still stuffy.

Re: Flying with kids when they have a cold
You should really notify your PED. Flying is hard enough on healthy babies as they have tiny little eustacion tubes and it's already difficult to equalize the pressure within the ears.
With a cold, I can imagine you may be asking for trouble. At the best, you'll have some wicked crying jags because of pain, at the worst you could wind up with ruptured eardrums (I did that at 26 and I cried like a baby...).
