Folding screen phones?

https://www.t3.com/news/best-folding-phones

Does anyone have, or thinking of getting a folding screen phone?

For me, right now, they are way too expensive. I like the idea, though. My current phone is just fine, but in a few years I'll definitely look into them when it's time to upgrade.

So this is like a modern take on the old flip phones?

Re: Folding screen phones?

Nope, not interested.
The price makes me DEFINITELY not interested.

I use my phones until they die. I miss my old Galaxy 3, it was the perfect small size to fit into my pockets.
These mini computers called phones are way too big.

I agree. It's like talking on an Ipad mini.
I want small. The smaller the better.
I was so excited to find out that the Samsung Galaxy S10e is actually smaller than the S7 I had to get rid of.
It's amazing- thin and light too. And cheaper than the regular S10

That's part of the appeal of the folding screen. You can keep it folded most of the time, so it's a "normal" sized phone, but if you want to open it up to full size, you can.

Not willing to pay that price.

Plus I never need a big screen. I use my phone for emails/texts, scrolling FB and Instagram etc.
I never watch movies or TV on my phone.
And I would imagine if you folded it up it would be thicker and the phone itself heavier.
I like tiny phones that weigh next to nothing

New concepts are always $$$. Cell phones in general used to be unbelievably expensive. Now you can get free ones. Smartphones used to be unbelievably expensive, now you can get basic ones for just the cost of the monthly service.
Prices will come down as they have more available, and more competition, and they've been out for a while.

That's why I don't want one now, but in a few years, if they become the norm, there will be mid-priced ones available.

Folding screen phones?

I’m not interested. The price is too high, and my phone works fine. I got a new battery for my iPhone 6, it it’s like brand new. Plus, I am concerned about e-waste and how it affects the environment.

Re: Folding screen phones?

This phone I think will have a problem with the bending of the screen and eventually break. Price is also too high.

Right now, I'm just excited to be getting my new S10 Galaxy plus today!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Folding screen phones?

I think I'd love it, but just read that there's no S-Pen, so I would never get it. That, plus it's just way too much $$.
