Follicle counts

at my baseline visit 12/31 they counted 15 follicles.

today was my first post stims ultrasound and I have 11. this is Sun/Mon/Tues of menopur and follistim, and started lupron microdose saturday.

am I screwed???


last time (and I didnt know this until my failure consult) I started with 13, my estrogen dropped after 2 or 3 days of stimming and my follicle count went to 7.
however, they did get 8 eggs, but only 5 were mature that cycle. so Considering im at 11 now is still good (*i think)

Im on an aggressive protocol here, so im trying not to panic.

No it's still early. Some more may pop up. Are you doing acupuncture? Just stay hydrated and I was told to up your protein intake. Not sure if that really works but it can't hurt! Good luck!!!

no, not doing accupuncture. but im doing coq10 enzyme (600mg) since Oct, along with DHEA (75MG) .

trying to up my water intake too.

Think quality over quantity.

My first retrieval I had 30+ follicles. I thought it was a given I'd get a bazillion eggs. Well, they got 9. I believe only 6 were mature and just 4 fertilized. That's from 30 follicles!!!

Quality is much more important than quantity
