Follistim dosage
Hello,
Just wondering..Does a lower dosage = a lower chance of multiples?
I'm on my 4th day of injectibles (follistim) and on 50iu, which I think is low. I am also on metformim.
I'm paranoid that there are going to be too many and I'll have to cancel out the IUI cycle.
Any thoughts?

Re: Follistim dosage
I don't know but could they convert an IUI to an IVF if you had too many? just a thought because I know they sometimes convert IVFs to IUIs if not enough follies....

Re: Follistim dosage
50 u is very low, unless you have PCOS you shouldnt have a problem. Try not to get too worried.

Re: Follistim dosage
They should be monitoring you and if it looks like you are developing too many follicles they may lower your dosage or too few and they may up your dose.

Re: Follistim dosage
When I first started follistim, I was on 75 and I eventually went to 300. The doctor probably wants to make sure that your body doesnt produce too much.

Re: Follistim dosage
Thanks for the replies.
I actually have a mild case of PCOS, so that is probably why I am on a low dosage.
I have a blood/sono appt. for tomorrow and also am having the hsg test.
