follistim pen
I am on my 4th day of follistim and last night I really think that I lost it. The pen wasnt working so I stabbed myself three times before I realize the thing was EMPTY!!. Talk about losing it. I have a black and blue not to mention I feel stupid. To boot I dont think I gave myself enough.
I am dreading the shot tonite. At least I know its gonna be a one shot hit!

i felt the same way after my first lovenox shot last week. it burned so bad i couldnt imagine doing it every morning for god knows how long.. but now its a few days later and i am fairly used to it .
my advice, ice the spot for a few minutes before doing the shot, ive done 4 injectable cycles and i still always ice before injecting.
also, keep your eye on the prize  it will all be worth it!

the only problem I am having is when I have to do 600 units and I only can go up to 450.
Do you take the needle out or just redial and inject with the needle still in?
I wasnt sure and thats how I wound up sticking myself 3 times last night.
What does everyone else do?

I always took the needle out, put a new on e on so it'd be nice and sharp and then re-set the dial and re-stuck myself.
If sticking yourself twice is too much, you can always dispense the 2 separate amts into a syringe then just stick yourself once.

Take the plunger out, and empty the pen needle into the barrel of the syringe, then replace the plunger, turn it upside down to get the extra air out and viola!

Yes, so far Follistim is no fun. I find it hard to keep the needle steady and depress that slow plunger at the same time, definitely leads to some soreness.
Sorry you had such a nightmare
