Follow-up 36 wk Sono revealed....
a 7lb 8 oz baby!!! ahhhh!!!! Estimated definately over 9lbs...
I asked how accurate this was because everyone always says that they have no way of telling the weight, she said it was pretty much spot on, but to give or take half lb. She said either way, he is in the 98th percentile, which is definate....so I guess I need to start stretching or something..lol.
Yay for big chubby babies..lol!!!!

Not accurate at all the guessed the day of 7lbs 3 oz he was 5'11'.

Wow, that is a really big difference..how did they screw that up? Did you deliver close to your due date? Was it through a sono?
Everyone I know that gave birth in the past 6 months or so, was off at most a lb...we'll see what happens..lol...Hopefully they are not wrong in the other direction,and he is already 8lbs..

Not at all accurate. My DD was estimated that she would be close to 8lbs at birth (and I was being induced a week early).
She was born 6lbs 11oz!

My cousin was induced a week early because they were estimating a baby close to 10lbs and the baby wasn't even 7lbs - it's just an estimate.

The sono is just a guess. The day before I delvered DD they guessed her weight to be high 8s almost 9lbs. She was 7lbs10oz...so they were at least a lb off for me.

I was praying that my sono's were off. They estimated DS to be 8 lbs, 9 oz the day before he was born. (I was induced). He weighed 8lbs, 6 oz......But most of my friends had babies that were a lot smaller then what their weight was estimated to be....
