Follow up on today's OPRAH
If anyone remembers the Hawk family that was addicted to heroin. It's been over 5 months since the show 1st aired.
The father is doing really well. He's in a sober living facility in NYC.
The mother is in Phoenix House on LI and said she's had a difficult time. But didn't say if there was a relapsed.
One son completed his 5 month program, got his GED and is now attending college.
The other son is in a juvenile facility in PA. The father said he got into some trouble but is doing better.
Not sure where there young son is but they said he's doing wonderful.
They also did a follow up on the pregnant woman (Mary) that was addicted to heroin, who was also on the show.
She completed her 6 week program and delivered a healthy baby girl that she gave up for adoption. Relapsed a short time later and is now in jail. (not to sure why).

I watched it today and I'm so happy that family got help and is doing better, it broke my heart to see that little baby in that kind of environment, as for that girl Mary, I think she was beyond help, she was using every vain in her body to get high, I just don't understand how someone could do that to themselves....
