Followup questions to DD's choking incident - what are some hidden choking dangers?
In a previous post I mentioned how DD choked on something unknown (although there is a good chance it was her saliva). I am now nervous about choking.
Besides obvious things like coins, small toy pieces, etc., are there any hidden choking dangers? Is it ok to leave DD alone in her pack n play while playing with toys?
A lot of her stuffed animals have labels on them. Are these labels a choking hazard? Should they be removed, or are the leftover strings more of a choking hazard?

Generally I leave the labels on. But I do check her toys often. I dont put any toys that I think can be a hazard in there. No toys with beads for eyes...for ex, some TY beanie babies say safe for all ages, but they have beads for eyes. So I only put things with stiched eyes, mouth, etc in there.
I also worry when I put dd in the pnp whne she is wearing clothing with buttons on it. Some carters stuff and gap stuff have buttons....that drives me nuts!!! So I often check that stuff out, make sure no buttons are loose, etc.
I am trying to think of what else....I know what you just went through was sooo scary....so I dont blame you for being super cautious now.
