Food allergies question

ok now that I'm about to embark on feeding solids to my DD I was just curious - what kind of reaction do they get if they are allergic to something? DH & I aren't allergic to anything so I'm not really worried, more curious.

Would she get a rash? vomit? diarrhea? and what do you do? I just like to be prepared!!!

Re: Food allergies question

We haven't had any allergies yet - but do expect loose poop. And it might be the color of what she ate Chat Icon

Re: Food allergies question

My DD once had a reaction to strawberry drinkable yogurt, and just got a rash on her booty, but was gone by the next day. She had never had a rash before, and it was the first time she had the yogurt (which she had had the nite before), so I am assuming allergy, and yes, I would expect some kind of rash if your DD is allergic....Rash bc itll come out in her doodie or urine and be on her skin... Hoep this helps!! Chat Icon

Re: Food allergies question

Most likely a rash. Oh and don't be alarmed if DD's cheeks take on an orange hue when you first start feeding carrots and sweet potatoes...this happened to both Jack and Molly.
