food before induction
Getting induced tomorrow morning and my dh suggested going out for a nice dinner tonight to celebrate. Should I eat a lighter meal or does it not matter? My dr didn't say anything about eating before we come in, so I wasn't sure

Re: food before induction
Eat up! You won't be able to eat a thing once you get to the hospital. It's annoying

Re: food before induction
Yup eat whatever. I'm going in for my section tomorrow and planning a big dinner out tonight. I was only told no food after midnight. Good luck!

I'd stuff my face! Definitely eat breakfast tomorrow, too. Good luck! I had such a quick and easy induction, I hope yours is the same!

Yeah I would eat like it was my last meal if you can't eat tomorrow. Any time I've had surgery I eat until the last second. I get very upset when I'm hungry lol

how many hours was your induction? and do you remember how dilated/effaced you were going in? I'm 2-3, fully effaced and 0 station so i'm hoping it's nice and quick lol

6 hours- start to finish! It was crazy how fast everything went!
I was 2 CM dilated, 100% effaced and baby was at station -1. You're a great candidate for induction!
They used a foley catheter and pitocin on me. I won't lie- the foley catheter hurt to put in but it really jump started my dilation and labor. Things moved fast and furious from there!
My whole story is on the Birth Story board if you care to read!
ETA: And good luck!!!

Re: food before induction
Definitely eat a huge meal since you don't know how long it will take!
I stuffed my face with weiner schnitzel at Oktoberfest and got straight in a cab to go to my induction
