Food Court Obstetricians
Tonight I find myself at Ranch 1 at Roosevelt Field. YUM! I order my crispy chicken sammich combo which I ALWAYS enjoy. I order it DRY, because I gut the roll - too thick for me. I ask for a couple of mayonnaise packets on the side so I can add how much I would like I have. The chick behind the counter, in her infinite wisdom and broken English says:
"Mayo no good for the baby!"
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?
Gee thanks Dr. Freakin Oz! I am a 40 year old parent, with a Master's Degree in Special Education and 15 years experince in child development. Not to mention, I teach crack and FAS babies and know for a fact that none of my students are in my class because their mom's OD'd on MAYO when they were in utero.
If I thought that talking to her manager would have made a difference, I would have said something. Dammit I should have.

mayo, in all its yumminess is made up of some of the simplest and most common ingredients not to mention it contains a great number of Omega 3s which is awesome for baby's brain development. . . .not that she woud understand all that I was eating mayo sandwiches the entire first trimester and this is how I justified it LOL
But, I have to tell you -- something VERY dangerous for baby. . . . VEERRRRRYYYY dangerous as told to me from a mother who smoked and drank her way through three pregnancies. . . .whatever you do, DO NOT. . . DO NOOOOOTTTTT sit on a cold surface! It will shock the baby and it is VERRRRRRRRRY dangerous!!!

I do know that you're not supposed to eat store-made mayo but the one in the packet is TOTALLY fine!! ........... Annnnyway.. even if you were there to buy a packet of cigarettes, it would be none of her business just my opinion..... I mean you could be buying them for someone else  .. Eh never mind- bad comparison. In any case- that woman was way too intrusive and rude

What made me laugh even more was that I had to have at least 15 years on her.
Even more so, she had nothing to say about the fact that I had a Diet Coke, a friend chicken sammich and fries to go with it.
I should have made an attempt to kick her.
