Food/Eating Therapies
We are having major troubles with our DD's eating. Basically she isn't. She is super picky and will only eat certain color foods, only room temperature and only crunchy (like nuggets or fish stickes). Now as of last week she is refusing to swallow any real food and will only eat things like crackers or nearly burnt waffles and cookies. Oh and she will drink nothing but milk and only from a bottle. She's driving me nuts!
We get ABA services and I know she has some sensory issues which I think is contributing to the eating issues but it's getting ridiculous. I just had a speech therapist eval today and she was also concerned with the eating issues and we will be requesting a speech therapist that deals will feeding issues as well but I think she needs someone that is more specialized in that area.
Does anyone go to feeding therapy or have any tips or recs on how I can get her to eat?
Thanks!
Oh she's 2 1/2 but it's more than the terrible twos at this point.

Re: Food/Eating Therapies
Ava will be 5 in July, and we have been going through the same thing since she was 2 1/2.
I had her evaulated at 3, and she was diagnosed with Sensory issues. She got OT 2x a week. This year, she has been in a school that has 1/2 spec ed/1/2 reg ed, and getting services there.
I do see improvements, but nothing huge.
Hang in there, this issue alone nearly made me lose my mind....
