Be careful of straws, though. The sucking motion can cause dry socket!

Re: food help/recommendations....?
Definitely milkshakes like other posters said, but eat it with a spoon.
Eggs, soup, pancakes... anything soft really. You'll know what your mouth can handle once the numbness wears off.
Good luck!!

Re: food help/recommendations....?
I remember eating soft stuff for a little while like pudding, cottage cheese, ice cream, pastina soup
Then when I switched to regular stuff, you have to keep remembering to chew it on the good side, it'll be tender for a while.
My surgeon gave me a plastic syringe type thing that you used to flush the hole with too, so it stayed clean.

Good luck Lauren!!
You got some good suggestions already so I am just sending luck. I got all 4 pulled years ago and it wasn't too bad.

Re: food help/recommendations....?
Definitely soups, tea, jellow, ice cream...anything that won't involve you chewing anything too hard or crunchy.
Good luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery!!
