food question: do you always wait 3 days between intoducing a new food?

up until now i've waited at least 3 days before trying something new, but now there's some foods that she hates (bananas and avocado) that she wont even take a 2nd time (i can get a couple of spoons in though before she seals her mouth shut lol).

So i was curious at what point people stopped waiting the three days and if you just supplemented with foods they already tried/liked if they wouldnt finish the new one (this kid would live on squash if we let her Chat Icon )

If he didn't like it, I wouldn't do another day, I'd just try it again a month or two later

But I always did 5 days, that's what my ped told us to do

If they didn't like something I would go back to something they already had and liked. If you already know they didn't have an allergic reaction it's fine.

I always waited 5 days between new foods mainly because I have food allergies and I was concerned they would too.

ITA. If he didn't like something I didn't bother.

Now I am introducing table food and I am finding that some things he liked in the jar, he doesn't like from the table and vice versa. Right now, I think he is just getting used to the texture. I am sure we will be going back and forth on so many things, I am not worried about it yet.

i waited 3-4 days but if they are already "cleared" for a food in the past..you can give that to them in addition, if they don't like the new one!
