Food Schedule
Jeremy is 5 months, 5 days We started him on Rice cereal (1 time a day, 1T cereal to 4T liquid). We did it for 1 week. This is the 2nd week and we tried the Oatmeal (same quantities). He much prefers the rice cereal over the oatmeal. Next week, I will have the nanny offer the oatmeal in the mornings and I will continue with the Rice cereal in the evenings. Maybe he will take it better from her than he does from me. With me, he spits all the oatmeal out and makes a funny face! When do I start with other stuff? Like Barley, veggies, fruit, etc? And do I do the veggies/fruit in addition to the cereal or instead of it? I know now it is more about getting used to the consistency than for nutrition but when does that change?
I know many of you started solids at exactly 4 months but I wanted to wait until after Jeremy's checkup which was on February 5.
Thanks

Re: Food Schedule
my ped gave me a chat sheet it says this: Introdcuce one new food at a time, adding a new food every 3-4 days, or about 2 new foods per week, If you start solids well before 6 months, there is no need to add new foods this quickly. my dc is 5 months and give her oatmel in the morning.

Thank you! If I FM you my e-mail address or fax number, could you give it to me as well? When was your DD born? I think our DC are the same age
