If we could live on DH income alone, I'd definitely show.

Like an idiot, after I got Misty fixed I wanted to show her. I have gotten so many comments on what a beautiful specimen of a Weimeraner that I kick myself in the butt for spaying her as soon as I got her. Then again, do we really need more puppies?Chat Icon

If I were to show, I would only let the original breeder determine my pups breeding schedule. I'd never try to do it on my own, as I do not want to become a breeder that way.
Plus most show breeders would own a part of the dog (I know that sounds obscene) and would have equal say in how the line is propagated.

It doesn't matter now, but I would definitely research it more when I get my next dog.
