Re: For Babyproofing -FREE window safety kits
All of our blinds were purchased very recently so I guess they meet today' standards. We have cordless in some rooms but not all. In the rooms that have cords, the cords seemed so long, so we bought those cord wind up things that they sell at BRU and BBB. Well, those were terrible and kept coming apart. So, we just cut our cords as short as possible, making sure that the blinds still function with the new length. I just thought I would tell people what I thought of the cord wind up things. BTW, I do not believe those are the same as what this website has. The website is for a retrofit kit for older blinds, I think.

Re: For Babyproofing -FREE window safety kits
For DS's room, we bought the cordless blinds (room darkening as well). Definitely a great idea. You just pull up or down on the bottom sill, and it stays where you put it. I'm definitely going to look into getting those for other rooms. Even if you don't need it for safety reasons, it's just so much better than dealing with the @#$%^ cords....
