For girls that shop online...
What is your rate of keeping items vs. returning them?
Do you keep 90% of what you buy? Only half of what you buy? Just curious...You can find so much more online, but I worry that the convenience is lessened by the need to send it all back.
ETA: is there any item that you would opt to NEVER buy online?

I have bought very little online - mostly stuff from amazon.com
I cannot/will not buy clothes/shoes online. I like to try stuff on.

Stuff like books and electronics, I rarely have to return.
Clothes, I stick to brands that are consistent with their sizes and styles so I know it will fit. Online purchases from Ann Taylor and Banana Republic usually work for me even if I can't try it on.
ETA: I wouldn't buy shoes online, the sizes and styles are just too inconsistent. Sneakers are ok though, New Balance always works for me.

I usually only buy clothes or shoes online when I can return them in the store. That way i don't have to pay for shipping a second time

I keep most of what I purchase online (clothes-wise).
Luckily though, in cases where I needed to return, I was able to go right to the store to return it instead of shipping it back (ie.. Gap)

I tend to only buy clothing on-line if I know my size in that particular store or the quality of the clothing (Banana, J. Crew).
For other items, I will buy them if I have something specific that I'm looking for and I want to get a good deal.

Same here. I like to try on and feel the fabric! I don't want to have to worry about paying to ship back.

i pretty much keep every online purchase. i feel its a big PIA to return - unless its a zappos that does the shipping labels and all that. otherwise - i would rather keep it than wait in line @ the post office to send it back.

I keep about 60% of what I buy. If I order from J. Crew or Banana, I end up keeping it because I know my sizes there. If I order from any other place, I return more often than not.

I am a big online shopper. I actually prefer it most days. I'm not big on going to the mall.
I keep about 85% of what I order online. Clotheswise. I don't buy shoes though. I've never had luck with shoes.

I do a lot of my shopping online. We order furniture, art, etc. online and have been thrilled with everything so far. In terms of shoes I've kept everything. Clothing - I keep about 85% of what I get. I actually just bought a dress that I love and I was hoping that I could fit myself into it, but it doesn't fit me right since I am pregnant, so I am giving it to one of my friends as a gift instead of sending it back.

I primarily shop online b/c of my hard to fit body and feet. At 6'1" with obscenely large breasts and size 12 feet, shopping at the mall is quite depressing. 
I'd say I keep 70% of what I buy online.
I don't consider returns a hassle b/c I have an account with UPS. I just schedule a pickup and they come and get my package(s).
The only thing I'm hesitant to buy online is a new foundation. Trying to find the correct color is just too difficult.
