For girls who got a BFP
How many betas did your re do and when was your first ultrasound?
I believe my RE does 3 betas (more if needed) and then 2 ultrasounds before I'm released. I'm going to confirm this tomorrow when I go for beta #2 but just wanted to see what the consensus was. Thanks!

For girls who got a BFP
I think I had 3 or 4 betas and 2 sonograms before I "graduated" to my OB/GYN. My first appointment with my OB was at 9 weeks, since I'd already been monitored so much at my RE.

For dd1 I had 6 betas and my scan was at 6 weeks for the first time. That was an Ivf pregnancy so under the care of an re.

Re: For girls who got a BFP
It was only suppose to be 2 initial betas but I had a bleed (hematoma)at 5 weeks so they ran them through 8 weeks. My first Sono was at 5 weeks and every week through 10 weeks. I was released at technically 9 weeks but went to them during my 10th week in between waiting for my first OB appointment due to spotting. The hematoma was pushing itself out.
A lot of ladies usually can't wait to see their OB but keep in mind huge change if you get released sooner than I did because your OB isn't doing sonos at every appointment like at the RE. With my DD I was released at 8 weeks and didn't have a Sono until 11 weeks NT scan at my OB so I was kind of happy this go around I stayed with the RE a little longer since I had the hematoma issue.

Haha, I'm the reverse! First pregnancy took 4 iuis and 2 Ivfs and second was natural. I was so traumatized by infertility that I still wanted betas done for this pregnancy. My ob prob thought I was crazy.

2 betas, and then 2 ultrasounds. They also do betas with the ultrasounds, but they get less important as you can see what's going on. I could've had a 3rd ultrasound but I always schedule my OB appts at 8 weeks so no need to get 2 in the same week.

Re: For girls who got a BFP
My RE's office usually does 2 betas, with my first they did three since my levels with DS weren't doubling. The first US was a week after second beta which put me at 5.5 weeks. I got sonos every week and the last one was 7.5 weeks, then I graduated to my OB who I saw a week later.

Re: For girls who got a BFP
For sure 2 beta and then ultrasound starting a week later. I was told today I'd probably have 4 ultrasounds before I'm released.

Re: For girls who got a BFP
Thanks Girls! My RE confirmed today that as long as this beta comes back with a good number there won't be anymore betas and I'll have my 1st scan next week (at approx. 5.5 weeks).

Re: For girls who got a BFP
I had my initial beta and then one additional one 2 days later. First ultrasound was at 6 weeks and then had them weekly (I had complications) till week 9 when I graduated to my OB/GYN.

Re: For girls who got a BFP
My first beta was 9dp5dt (205.)
First sonogram/2nd beta was yesterday at 16dp5dt.
My doctor said that generally she would see me one more time next week and, as long as there's a heartbeat, that would be the last time. However, she's on vacation next week so I'm going back on Friday (20dp5dt) for beta 3 and a sonogram, and then again on the 23rd which will *hopefully* be my last appointment with the RE.
