For girls who were thinking about doing the Japanese straightening
I went to Cactus Salon and put a straightener/light relaxer in my hair to loosen the curls (not the JS). They blew my hair out straight and it hasn't curled/frizzed at all since. I will wash it tonight to see how the curls look. I think my hair will only be wavy now when I wash it.

I think I will have to a little bit but I wanted to do it to be able to still wear it wavy and make it easier for me to blow out. My hair was extemely curly before though.

Re: For girls who were thinking about doing the Japanese straightening
Update us in a couple of weeks and let us know if it damaged your hair. I did this once a long long time ago and after a few weeks my hair looked like it had been fried. The ends were horrible.
My guess is that since you can still wear it wavy, it might not have damaged your hair which would be a great thing!
I want to see pics!!

My hair looks shinier and healthier than before. It was $150.
