? for moms on #2 or more re; baby names
When picking a name for # 2, if you didnt know the sex- did any of you refer back to your "original" list of names from #1 ??...Like now I have a DS and we are thinking of using our top pick for #2 if its a girl from our original girl list and our # 2 boys name from the boys list- I feel bad like baby # 2 is having re-cycled names...I know this is dumb- but hard to explain...anone else KWIM ? Ok- I'll stop now- I'm delirious

We only really had two girl names picked out (we have 2 DDs) and the other girl names I liked I wasn't really in love with. So we came up with a new girl name this time around. The ones from the original list we didn't even really consider this time around. We didn't have a boy the first time and if we do, he will be a junior, so no need to pick a new one there. Good luck!

I'd love to use the girl name that we had picked out, but it is pretty much a variation of the name we gave to DS, so I think maybe we will not....

there was a pretty big gap between 1 & 2 and id dont even remember all the names we had for DC #1.
for this one (3rd) i dont really care for the same names that i picked for DS (only 14 months ago). weird.

We won't find out the sex, but I think we'll use the name we had picked out for the sex we didn't have. If we have another of the same sex we'll probably come up with something new. We really only had one favorite.

We didnt have a list of names.. we only had one name for a boy and one name for a girl.. we used the girl name. Dh said wants to use the boy name if this baby is a boy.. but im not sure i want too... I feel like we need to come up with different names.. no real reason why just a feeling i have, but at the rate were going we might just go with with the boy name b/c i cant find one i like.

confession time....
Scone is my first child, and he's getting a 'recycled' name
how is that possible? well, Erec would have been MY name if I was a boy! My Oma (grandma in germany who passed on 10 years ago  ) picked it for me.
so we polish-ized it to Eryk and a first name was born!
I see nothing wrong with re-cycled names if you still love them.... I bet if I'm blessed to become pregnant again and have a girl, she will be named Anna (Scone's 'girl' name)

Ok- well at least I know I'm not the only one who has had this cross their mind - so I dont feel like a looney bin - LOL...I do still love the names that we had picked so for now, it looks like thats what we are going with then !
