For moms who are having boys-fyi
If you are going to have your son circumsiced, they will probably ask you who you want to do it....either your ob or your ped. Just prepare yourself ahead of time....I had to ask the opinion of the nurses because I liked both of the drs....they suggested that I go with my ped (they said that they heard both were great, but they bring ther children to the same ped, so they figured they would go with that). Just wanted to give you a little heads up!

None of the peds we are meeting with are affliated where I am delivering so I'm going to guess my Ob does it. I'll check with her tomorrow.

do you have to tell the dr in advance if you're jewish and will be having a mohel doing the circumcision at a bris so they dont go ahead and do it?

They do ask you if you want the baby to be circumsed before they do anything.
