For People Going to Mets Opening Day...

Do you think it would be better for me to drive there or take the LIRR on the Douglaston Line? Trying to figure out what will get me home in the shortest time.

Do what I do.

Drive to Flushing. Park either at the garage on Main Street by the #7 train.

Or there is another garage on Sanford avenue thats in walking distance to the #7 train (off Kissena).

Then take the #7 train 1 stop.

I will NOT be taking the LIRR cause you have to first go to Woodside. Dumb dumb dumb.

If you already live on the Port Washington line... then maybe the train is better because you don't have to transfer.

But for anyone else... you can do what I do. Chat Icon

Whats happens at Woodside. I don't remember any issues when I took it before.

I am pregnant so i am just wondering if the train is going to be crazy packed and not to bother with that.

Pill would you say the 7 train is less crowded then the LIRR will be??

Thanks.

I would think the LIRR would be less crowded than the 7, in my experience. The 7 is usually jam packed. It's going to take forever to get out of the lot after the game if you drive.

DH and I will walk from our apt. if it's nice out! Chat Icon

I'm taking the 7 - usually, I would drive, but we are leaving from my brother's girlfriends apartment in Queens.
