For people who had blocked tubes, I have a Question
Were both tubes blocked? Why were they blocked?

I don't have blocked tubes but I did have an HSG.
Are you very worried about it? I did a whole post on TTC about my experience and it might help you feel a little better.
From what I know, the benefits greatly outweigh the risks!
I really wouldn't do IUI before you've had the HSG done.
What are your concerns?

I was just curious about the reasons why someone would have blocked tubes. From what I read, I don't meet any of those risk factors.

My left tube was completely blocked, right tube was swollen and mostly blocked. As in, the fluid could get through, but only a tiny bit and it took a long time.
There is no real reasoning behind blocked tubes. Some people are born that way, some people get infections which can scar the tubes.

For me, endometriosis caused it. I had a hydro left tube and a mildly crappy right tube..they took out the left tube and two months later with the help of CLomid and IUI i got pregnant. I had Stage 3 Endo too...

I had an ectopic PG so either my tube was blocked or had lost it's ability to act as a conduit between my ovaries and uterus.
After I had my left tube removed I had an HSG. The results came back "normal-no blockages" but after several failed conception attempts my RE believes that my remaining tube simply doesn't work properly.
Fallopian tubes are very delicate. Any sort of infection, birth defect, surgery, scarring, etc can alter their ability to work or even block them.

My first HSG said my right tube was blocked. I got pg (only to m/c a few weeks later) on my right side a week after the HSG. It either wasn't blocked to begin with or the dye unblocked it. 2nd HSG a year later no blocked tubes. How's that for a curve ball?

sometimes a "blockage" can be caused by a spasm at least thats what I was told when I had my HSG
I had no known reason for my blocked tube - mine was later "blown out" by cannulation.

I have one blocked tube which was due to a previous surgery-laparascopy. It turned out to be a hydrosalphinx. Toxic filled tube.

I had Fibroid Tumors blocking my tubes, had them removed and now they are clear.
