For those interested in Custom Window Treatments
i met w/ a woman and her partner the other day (home consultation) and placed an order for custom panels for the den. they brought a TON of designer fabrics and were REALLY helpful w/ answering all my questions. the price was EXTREMELY reasonable ($315 + $100 consultation fee) but it is going to take about 8-10 weeks for the order to be completed.
if anyone is interested in their info, please let me know. they are a full-service design company (window treatments, color coordination, bedding, upholestry kitchens, baths, and accessory shoppers). i can't attest to the work as i haven't seen the end result but it is defienetly worth a consult. one of the women used to be the in-house designer at fabric bonanza in commack (they are going out of business).

Re: For those interested in Custom Window Treatments
1 window (well 2 double hung, see pic below), 2 panels. custom treatments can be VERY pricey but IMO there is a DEFINITE difference from store bought vs pre-made treatments. calico corners quoted me $700 and ethan allen quoted me almost $1k for the same room (VERY similar fabric). i also priced smith and noble (around $950), pottery barn ($300) and country curtains ($350).
ETA: pic not posting, see this thread for pics
